Hi

Used to hang out here a bit when I first got into wargaming (99). That was back in the day when Gaz was the go to guy for updates and had all the latest goss. I appreciated the frankness and the scrutiny to minute detail that Dakka had over some other sites.

Alot has changed since my early days. I loved Eldar (still do), but moved away from them when I discovered the joys of modeling with plastic. As a side note, I was seriously pissed when they released the Dark Angel bits, as I had carefully sculpted robes onto all of my guys (and not the crappy 5min jobs you see over on the B&C, mine were (are) pretty good )

I started just as third edition was coming out. Each of my friends picked up an army and played through school. Basically didn't play through uni but still modeled and read up on armies and the like.

I'm about to move to London for 12months (well, its highly likely)and I think its about time that I finally converted my time into a complete army. Looking at creating a chapter (White with Blue robes, alternating colours for characters) so I can classify it as a single chapter and have one colour scheme but use two different rules sets. Sounds dodgy, but what I mean is that I would have a normal chapter (with say Blood Angels or vanilla rules), then use DaemonHunter or DeathWing rules to field an elite force (and not have a set of terminators painted in a different scheme that I cannot field outside of the 'elite' force because they are a different colour to the 'normal' army.

Hope that makes sense.....anyway, here is a question for you all.

Which army is likely to provide more competition? Deathwing (just Deathwing, none of this other crap) or Daemonhunters (just Grey Knights).

Welcome to Dakka

Try reposting your question on Dakka discusions, I think you will get more hits there.

DW: I have mrdered or have been murdered by, really depended on the mission.

DH: I can't say, never been lucky enough to draw them in a tourney, and mine are still waiting to be painted.
