I've been thinking about the fact that Dark Eldar and the fact they're gonna get redone. They've always been an army that I've been interested in but they always fell short, mostly because of the poor models and the dated codex. My thought, what are some units that are in character with the Dark Eldar that I would like to see?

My first answer (others to come in later posts):

A flying draken warp beast or Warp Fiend pulling a hover chariot of wyches.

Warp Chariot
Points WS BS S T W I A Ld Sv
Warp Fiend 65 4 4 6 5 2 6 3 3 6+
Beastmaster 15 4 4 3 3(4) 1 6 1 8 6+
Wyche 10 4 4 3 3(4) 1 6 1 8 6+

Squad: Consists of between one and three Warp Fiends each with a chariot and each chariot has a beastmaster and one to three Wyche crew members.

Beastmaster: See Page 9 of the Dark Eldar Codex

Wyches: Their rules and upgrade options are as they appear in the Dark Eldar codex. Each chariot crew is considered as a separate squad for the purpose of those upgrade options. See Page 9 of the Dark Eldar Codex.

Monstrous Creatures: The warpfiend is a Monstrous Creature. See Page 51 of the Warhammer 40,000 Rule Book.

Winged Chariot:
• Moves as jump infantry.
• Crew benefit from the protection offered by their chariot, which increase toughness by 1.
• When chariot is engaged in an assault, the Warp Fiend and all crew are considered in base contact.
• If the Warp Fiend is killed all remaining models must pass a leadership test or fall back, they may regroup. If a Warp Fiend is killed all remaining crew function as a normal infantry squad, losing the benefits of their mount.

Fleet of Wing: See page 75 of the Warhammer 40,000 Rule Book.

Warp Breath: The Warp Fiend possesses “Warp Breath”

Range S AP Type
Warp Breath Temp. 5 4 Assault 1, Rending
