Should it be Dark Elves? You see using Minnies from back in the day I'm currently running 1500 points of Bretonnians and 1500 of High Elves (could easily go up to 2500 with a few small buys) and have about 1000-1500 points of Skaven waiting on a revised list. (also got about 500-1K empire from Mordhime and 500 of Dwarfs from an old Skirmish League)
any way DEs have always interested me (since 2nd ed when I wanted to do a Wardancing Witch Elf army), but Money, Time, Not running a Bandwagon Army or an other Elf Army (or a combination of two or more) has got in the way of me starting a DE's army. is Now the time to drop a Grand (in OZ bucks) to build me a 2K points DE army since I'm looking at starting a "Evil" army and neither Undead or any of the Chaos armies are interesting me, also VC's, Chaos and Ogre Kingdoms are all Bandwagon Armies for Evil at the all the stores & half the Guilds I have access to (Bretonnians and High Elves are the "Good" Bandwagon Armies).
What I'm asking is the new Dark Elves Cool enough to risk spending lots of cash on an army that will likely end up as a bandwagon army? (atleast till the next Chaos list) or should I just save my Money and wait for the eventual (but at this time Unplaned) Re-Issue of Skaven?

IMO any new release army will be popular with most people, best off going old skool stick with the rats since they are great fun to play with (whats more amusing than firing a WLC through your own units?)
also, if you have an old doomwheel model it would look great as a WLC
