trying to make this one a general purpose list, i realize it doesn't have enough troops, but if i don't use them like this, i'm not going to have obliterators etc. etc.

Not really. The DP needs some tweaking. Khorne is the worst mark to give him. Go with anything but that. You could even keep him at the same points with Doom Bolt if that was necessary. Power weapons on your champs is also not a good idea most of the time. Usually I only ever take the champ to give him a PF. If your willing to change it up a bit here is a fix

I'd say that list is much more competitive and probably more fun to play. The Oblits and Havoc Rhino will be awesome on the table. And the DB DP will be pretty versatile although he will probably take a lot of fire pretty quickly and die early. I'd say use the Oblits and the plague marines in the rhino to advance on an objective while the Zerkers go do some objective taking on their own while the DP uses his mobility and fire power to draw the opponent away from what is really important. And don't be afraid to switch the Zerkers into the rhino and have the Plague marines stay back and hold an objective.
