hi i've recently started vostroyans and was wondering how i was going to field them in terms of doctrines, I
had already got the other doctrine's but i wanted to know what is the best one for 5th edition rule book.

They all have their place. What sort of army do you want to field? That should drive your decision. If you're looking for something beardy, then you're better off going with the classic IG Doctrine of spamming drop-plasma and drop-melta.

They are apparently modelled as wearing Carapace armour.
I personally prefer Cameoline as a doctrine, but if you want to be themed that could be a good place to start.
