I just started this army up and ran it in a couple of games against Orks. The first game saw the entire force deployed at the start, and I did well for a first time out with the army, causing over 100 casualties, mostly from CC. The big thing of note was that the army took over 150 shots on the first turn from the Orks and only lost 5 guys.
The second game almost ended in a draw, but I duffed it trying to play fancy with some deep strikes and screwed the pooch.
In both games my opponent was one of the best Ork players I know, running an army with over 150 Orks. I figure just playing a Deathwing army will give me some good practice trying out different tactics, plus it's just fun to play.

Here's the list so far:

Belial w/ lightning claws

Interrogator Chaplain

Terminator squad w/assault cannon
Standard bearer
apothecary

Terminator squad w/assault cannon

Terminator squad w/assault cannon

Terminator squad w/assault cannon

Terminator squad w/assault cannon

CC Terminator squad w/ 4 lightning claws & heavy flamer

CC Terminator squad w/ 2 lightning claws, 2 thunder hammers, heavy flamer

The list comes out to 37 terminators for around 2,000 points.

Deathwing needs tank support, mainly LR. You simply don't have the AT to deal with anything more then small fry. Pure Terminator Deathwing doesn't work well, Land Raiders/Vindis/Dreads are needed for support, the Terminators cannot do it on their own, they had trouble back when assault cannon spam was viable/possible.

Do you take advantage of mixing weapons in your squads at all? Say for instance a TLC on a sarge or something?

I get the gist of what you are trying to convey with the list but DW are so delicate that the details really kinda matter.

The reason I went with pure DW is from what I've seen with another DW player going against vehicles. That guy is able to get his terminators in amongst the vehicles and tear them apart with CC. Otherwise he can get into CC with the footsloggers of his opponents army and render a lot of vehicle shooting moot. One of the things I worry about with LR's are strength 10 weapons and Lances taking out a squads worth of points in one shot.
That being said, I do have a Crusader and regular LR I plan on throwing into the mix later on, though, once I get more of a feel for what the Terminators can do on their own.

I've just been keeping the sgts. with power swords and storm bolters to get as much shooting as possible out of my army. The extra attack and rerolls to wound sounds like they might be a good trade off for that, though.

If you want to maximize the shooting, than your better off going with a squad layout like this:

Sarge - PW+SB
Termie - CF+SB
Termie - PF+SB
Termie - PF+SB
Termie - PF+AC

It maximizes the shooting while take advantage of the 5th wound allocation rules as much as possible.

That's the layout I have for the squads I haven't listed as CC. My fault for trying to shorthand my list. I should have said I wanted to maximize the rounds coming out of my shooting squads instead of my army, since I like having a couple of CC units in it.
