Subject: Two 2500 point lists, how well do think they'd do?

YOur first list is lacking in anti armor. STR 7 just doesnt do it, and not everyone brings their armor into range for fists, not even rhino mounted fists. I know I run 3csm and 2 cult marine squads as my 1500 list. Melta guns in the squads helsp with anti tank and anti infantry since being mounted in a rhino means they get into charge range on turn 2. Also, it has been mentioned that taking MC at 2500 is going to be interesting ... I know lists I faced last ard boys had as many as 10 las cannons (or 22 in one of the guard lists), plus all the other weapons DP's hate to see like squads of 4 heavy bolters, twin assault cannons, plasma guns, autocannons, etc.
I am debating about switching to sorc's myself for this high point level. My princes got shot down pretty hard last ard boys ... of course at the time I only had about 3 weeks of experience with the new dex before the tourney and I was cursing the lack of all my favorite goodies, espescially re-rolls, but ...
Second list: I don't think yo need blast masters on the noise marine squads, and I think they should maybe be one larger squad or maybe switched for some plague marines to hold objectives.
You also don't need a champ in the havoc squad ... nor do they really need to be 10 marines. 8 should be fine for them.
This one falls down on combat though ... no fists anywhere and no good HTH models to compensate(other than terms, but I already mentioned I don't like all those points tied up in 5 models that can be AP'd to death quickly.
The land raider and LC terms works fairly well at lower point levels, but I found at 2500 they are too many points packed into one place for my liking. YMMV, definatly somethign to test for yourself before you get to ard boys.
I would trade the Land raider and terms for a zerker squad in rhino and put some champs with fist in your csm squads. If they are your primary objective holders they will get assaulted.
Maybe trade the 2 small noise marine squads for another zerker squad. That would give you two assaulty units plus the core of shooting it looks like you were going for.

The first list lacks anti-tank? It's got 2 4-lascannon squads...

2x4 lascannon squads isn't an overly impressive number of AT in 2500 points especially not against LR spam imo

wait wait wait wait... huh..?

yeah, but it'll make a tank user second guess how they move their tanks, which will hopefully cause them to make mistakes. Anytank that shows its ugly face agains those two squads will be blown to bits, and the opponent will know that. It's with descisions that deal with sacrificing units that cause people to screw up. the more times you can force that decision, the more mistakes your opponent is likely to make

your first list cant kill horde.
your second list cant kill tanks.
if you bring either you will lose a fair number of games.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

My bad. When I first looked at it I thought I saw 3 x 4 autocannon squads. (oh how I used to love the auto cannon squads when they were effective ... Falcon-be-gone!)
