Its not a model, so if this post is better suited somewhere else, please let me know. But it *IS* a work-in-progress

But hello, my name is Jason Banditt Adams. Ive been an illustrator for Comics and Gaming Companies since 1999 and this year became a Miniature Concept Designer. In 2005 I took the leap and became full-time self-employed. I am internationally published in the U.S.A., U.K. and Canada. After 9 years of a long, tedious struggle, Ive finally been adding MAJOR companies to my clientele list. One company I have *always* wanted to work with is Games Workshop. But they have been ever elusive.

So I have decided to put some extreme effort into a good piece of artwork in an effort to sell myself the position as one more freelancer to their massive repertoire of already fine illustrators. I am hoping the Dakka Dakka community might help me out by watching this work in progress and give me their thoughts and criticisms, so that this piece might be one of my best...ever.

Progress after a couple of hours last night:

and again this morning, August 29, 2008:

This is a mixed medium of pencils, inks, and water color. Last night I laid down some of the initial design and added shading and color. This morning I smoothed out the color from last night and added to the design. This is all 100% hand-made. I am only using the computer to scan it in and add my website watermark tag.

The overall size of the finished piece will be 9" X 12". The section above is 3.5" from tip of the magazine to the top of the hair. So I work at roughly actual print size, unlike most my contemporaries who work larger and then shrink it down.

Please let me know your thoughts!

kindest regards,
-Banditt

Nice stuff. I like the longer darker hair which is a nice change from the short white bobs. A Sister of Battle with a braid would be interesting. Some of my favorite Sister of Battle and Dark Elf pics are the full body profiles. There one in particular, in pencil that I really like.
