hi everyone i've been looking at IG tanks and seeing what conversions could be done or substitutions

i was wondering for a basalisk tank would it be possibl to use a hummell tank of WWII
or possibly some otehr artillery tank that you can think of, and if i was to use one of these what would bea decent scale to use]

heres al ink for those that dont know what a hummell lookslike

Sure, Forge world makes one. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/basenc.htm

Hard top and you're done. Should be to hard to convert something similar out of Plasti card.

There's FW conversion kit that resembles the Hummel (or rather, puts some armor shields up to the relief of the gun crew).

Frankly, I think an SU-76 conversion would be easier, as the Chimera has a vague T-34 chassis feel to it. Personally, I'd rather see an M7 Priest conversion, but I tend not to be big on axis tanks.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Personaly I think that ether kit bashing a 1/48 scale tank w/a chimera or basilisk, or fabricating something w/plastic card not only shows creativity, but can definately save $$$ to do more of them over 1 FW conversion kit. Although they are definately top notch looking, & the few small trinkets I bought definately had the detail that justified the outrageous price.
