I just wanted to say thank you to all the people here that have offered advice and tutorials. I'm brand new to 40k, bought my first box of nids about a month ago. After reading a bunch of posts I settled on a scheme, bought my paints and dip and started getting down to work.

I have most of the army painted, I wanted to save the bigguns until the end. Here is my first Tyrant, the dip is still drying.

Again, thanks. I would not have been able to do this without the information and tutorials presented by the folks here.

love it, nice screamer killer pose, and the dip really makes it stand out.
keep up the good work.

Nice tyrant. The non armoured parts look really organic, and the armoured parts look very nice as well.

This is just dipped, not varnished? (I´m thinking whether the "wet" effect is something the dip does?)

Nidz - Skin is Bleached Bone, Chitin is Liche Purple, Weapons are Blood Red, Tongue is Snot Green and the veins are Skull white and blue ink 50/50.

Xathos - Just dipped. was only about 75% done drying. The wet look fades a bit more. i'll take a shot now and post, it's been dry for a few days now. He still has some of the shine but it's a bit toned down.
