So, I have about a billion little jars/cans/bottles of paint and I'm sure fellow Dakka-ites have them too. How do you store them? Shelves? Carousels (like a rotating spice rack)? Trays?

I'm looking for cheap ideas for storing paints in a relatively easily accessible manner. What say ye?

Any links to storage solutions would be helpful as well

mine are just stacked in an old SM battle force box on a cupboard.
nothing fancy, but its out the way, and easy to get to.

I used to keep mine all on my paint station, but all I could see was a sea of black lids, it was a real pain... I think I'm going to modify the backboard of my paint station to have a few small racks above at the back to keep all the paints and inks and stuff in.

I have two current options i use.

One is my handy Tool box. It has 3 2" trays for paints and a top bin/tray for flock/glue/clippers, etc.

My second, more permanent option is something a buddy made for me at his jobsite. Its a rack that screws onto the wall and has about 100 hex shaped holes to set paint in so you can see the colour you need and can easily retrieve it.

Handy, but big, and not easily transportable.

Also, I picked up two sets of GWs paint racks from an Old Gaming store that went out of business, but i never really use them.
