This is the 1500 pt variation to my army. It seems to work fairly well ;D

2x DP 350
Wings, MoN, Warptime

2x 10 Plague Marines 600
2x Melta, AC, PF, Combi-Melta

6x Obliterators (squads of 2) 450

Greater Daemon 100

One other way I could play it, is minus AC's gear and add 2 rhino's, since the greater daemon will be exploding out of one of those fist/combi-melta AC's neway. Combi-Melta's are really only there because I had nowhere else to put 20 points ;D

Comments welcome.

im not a big fan of greater demon. they will pop up and kill one thing (eventually) and then get shot to peices or spend the rest of the game chasing other stuff. add on to that that you are having to sacrifice a 38pt (minimum) model and it becomes very bad.

scrap the demon, use the points you save to buy rhinos and more plague marines.

combi-meltas are also unnecessary on champions. im use you can find a better use for the points.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

Eh honestly the greater daemon serves his purpose well, and that's to be a third target for my enemy. My opponent now has to choose between either DP, the obliterators, and him. Not only that but once he does get into combat he's a MONSTER no pun intended ;D

I suppose you would need to understand my strategy, as well as the fact that I'm trying to make this list intersting and not quite as boring as it could be with something like this ..

2x DP
Wings, MoN, WT

3x 7 PM
2x Melta, AC, PF

6x Obliterators (2s)

Although if I wanted to be efficient that's probably what I would use.

As for the strategy for this current list, I plan on using the plague marines as I do in most of my lists. They are an offensive wall, and a good one at that. They provide cover for the obliterators by walking with them, and once the obliterators fire, the marines "run" in front of them to provide cover for any return fire. They also run with the DPs and when close enough they stand their ground firing until they are assaulted themselves, absorbing the charge, as well as setting up the counterattack by the DPs. They can also double as effective enough tank busters, and objective holders, as well as more than decent in close combat.

WoC is AWESOME on a flyey demony prince.

Eh I seem to find DPs do better (best) with warptime, although it may be going against my idea to make it interesting, it's just entirely more effective. DPs are already tank bashers, and infantry destroyers, warptime ensures that their hits/wounds land.

The list looks good. I might choose Nurgle's Rot instead of Warptime when facing a horde army.
