Hey all

I hope this is in the right place. It was a toss up between this and MnP, but I figure the people here would most likely know as its a tourney rule question.

Anyway, does anyone think that the following Death Guard Termies:
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/dgterm.htm

Would be alright counts as Oblits in a GT? I was going to give them all the big gun arms. Im going for an all nurgle army and thought that would be a good set to use.

Thanks all for your time!

GMM

As long as you have absolutely no other terminators in the army I would be okay with it.

But you definitely are walking a fine-line here in that you're using a model for one type of unit in an army (Terminator) to represent a model for another type of unit (Obliterator).

That's the type of thing that can confuse an opponent if you don't make it painfully clear to them.

MUST NOT LOOK!

Grr...looked...

Now I want 10 of them. Wow they are gorgeous. Maybe next Games Day's Kommando voucher will be enough for them....

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Yak - definitely no other termies. It will be the typical heavy oblit army.

I was thinking that if they all have the heavy guns, or maybe if I convert all the guns, it would make it a bit more clear at a glance. That and they are walking around in units of 2-3.

Thanks!

You'd have to model them appropriately - slapping on a few Obliterator weapons, for instance. Otherwise, I'm just going to think they're fantastic-looking, Nurgle-marked Terminators.

You would also probably want to make sure they all had the power fist model, and not axes. Lessens confusion.

That and like you said, not having any other terminators would help.

I fully agree with no other termies in the army and you using them as oblits.

I had a player spring 2 winged Demon Princes on me suddenly last night using a BR Warboss and a Termi Lord. So always make sure your opponent knows what and how a "proxy" is equipped.

You need to glue some weapons on it. When anyone sees the bolters and power weapons they will automatically think Terminators.
