Well, i heard from a Games Workshop store in Leeds that they're making a Norn Queen unit for Apocalypse. Wow. i hope that when its destroyed, the rest of the tyranid force follows suite.

And another one with perhaps less validity, the major Dark Eldar remake and release is starting next year : ) [well, this remake has been set back so many times i just cant really be sure on this one]

got me intrigued.

Norn queen? are you sure it's not the dominatrix?

I may be wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the Norn Queen is smaller than a dominatrix. This would make sense, because the Dominatrix is the size of a squiggoth, and would be impossible to make in plastic.

The Norn queen however, would be easier to build.

Despite this, im calling Redshirt bs on these.

Squiggoths are about the same size as the plastic LotR elephant aren't they?

So unless they are basing battles on hive ships there would be little chance that a norn queen would end up on a planet (baring a hive ship crash) let alone in the middle of a battle.

Interesting. Are there any stories about assaulting a hive ship, whether it be ship to ship or boarding action (is that even possible?)? Would make for a killer scenario.

So would I since wasn't the news out of the last few Gamesdays something like IG, SW, DE in no particular order? I'm doubting we get another release this year, but I think 3 releases in a year is right around GW norm so 2009 is likely right.

Supposedly Space Wolves are to be out for Christmas. Guard, Dark Eldar, and Necrons in some kind of order next year.

It's actually the Imperium's preferred method of fighting Nids.

Size wise I dont think a norn queen can be done... Imagine hive ships have kilometres so does the norn queen.

Agreed. Call me a realist, but something that gives birth to Tyranid swarms is going to be enormous. In Epic maybe, but I'm skeptical about a practical product for 40k, or even Apocalypse. I also second Gonads on the feasibiltiy of them slithering around a battlefield in the first place, even though I'm all for original ideas.

the queen is juist interfast whit the ship she can copel her self losse of it ( read the ultra marine omnibus captain of the 4 gos in the ship whit the deathwatch and kills one)

just curios but when did GW start making their models/codex to follow fluff? Also I am pretty sure thatDark Eldar are at the tail end of next years new codex's. I can't remember where i heard it but somwhere I heard that next year was SW, Nec, Imp guard maybe and then DE, (can't remember if imp guard was before DE or not

I heard they'll never make the Dark Eldar again because they're lame and EMO and suck so instead they'll make Codex Lost and the Damned and then the Unified Inquisition Codex, then the Adeptus Mech, then the Demiurge and then the Sensei!

Yeah, that's why all the major DE abilities have been given to every army now. Like 'turbo-boosting' for bikes, moving instead of shooting and more that I can't recall atm

And why the models have been unavailable for over 5 years

Single Spaec Marainse can kill Norn Queens, why make models for such trash?

I heard theres gonna be a price hike too: £18 box sets go to £20 and blisters go up a pound as well i think. so stock up !
