Hey all
I gave up on the two 1750 lists I was working on. I just cant fit anything in that I feel comfortable with at that level.

Heavy Support: Vindicator (1#, 145 Pts)
Daemonic Possession; Demolisher Cannon; Dozer Blade; Searchlight; Smoke Launchers
Heavy Support: Vindicator (1#, 145 Pts)
Daemonic Possession; Demolisher Cannon; Dozer Blade; Searchlight; Smoke Launchers
Heavy Support: Vindicator (1#, 125 Pts)
Demolisher Cannon; Dozer Blade; Searchlight; Smoke Launchers
Basically the rhino-less unit holds home base, the rest hoof it to the other side of the board. Plague marines stay alive, while the lashes group and the vindis bada boom.
I had to drop one possession on the vindicators. I was 20 points over. If anyone has a suggestion on what else to move or drop let me know. I like DP, as Im pretty hot with the scatter die.
Total Roster Cost: 2000
Alternatively I can drop all the vehicles and take 7 obliterators. That would probably be more competitive. it would also leave another 25 points to work with.
Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks!

Gah, i hate reading list copied directly from army builder.
it looks pretty good. some long ranged anti-tank would be nice. oblits would be better then vehicles and that sorcerer should be another DP.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

Well, the winged Sorcerer is a bit out of place; instant killing is not a good prospect. I'd opt for another winged DP.

Personally I think it's interesting that so many lash princes celebrated the arrival of 5th edition by going out and lashing together as many plague marines as they could find
That said, plasma guns work better for me on the home-guard plague unit since things they are dealing with are likely to be terminators or assault marines or other deepstriking things that are more vulnerable to plasma than to flamers (and they don't want to move around that much anyway).
Also, although it goes against conventional wisdom, the flamer-melta combo on a plague marine squad has a proven record around my part of the country. Having the gun you need in the spot where the squad is located typically trumps having two of the right guns half the time.

Ahh good point about the plasma. I overlooked it because of the price.
As for mixing, I guess it is true when you have identical units running around. In this like dev squads I cant stand it, but here I think it could prove useful....
Thanks!
