Can't use him yet because I don't play Marines. Why does he have a hammer anyway? AFAIK, only HQs and Terminators can use them.
Oh well, plenty of Chaos heads left, and I can file off the iconography.

It could be just a hammer, not a thunder hammer. Perhaps representing a power weapon or an impressive looking but not otherwise special close combat weapon.

Just use him as an HQ with a Thunder Hammer. He doesn't have to be a Sergeant, and I'd say that the model is too ornate and covered in detail to be a regular Sergeant anyway.

That, and he really needs a new head. You can always use the Guile/ G.I. Joe head on a totem or being eaten by a Tyranid.

As I said, the head is a separate piece. You can put any old Marine head in there and it should be fine.

IIRC, Vanguard Sergeants can get Thunder Hammers, which is where mine is going.

It's an unfinished preview pic that was circulating online well before this mini was released overseas.

I got mine with my Golden daemon entry (free with entry).

I have no intention of actually entering, I just have all the games day models since they started coming out.

I was going to get my wife to enter to so I could get another one but the golden daemon entries at my local store are so poor they should have heaps left over post golden daemon and I can just buy it then.
