At last, my longtime dream of bear cavalry with AK-47s, RPG launchers (hunting lances) and molotov cocktails (melta bombs) has been fulfilled. Sorry about the blurry, bigfoot-like pics, I will try to get better ones later.

I love it! Valhallans were always my favorite of the IG types and the bear models work out great.

Brilliant - absolutely brilliant. How did you do the RPG's and AK's?

As a fellow Vahallan player, I salute this awesome concept carried out to great realization.

However, why not attach the pictures to the post instead of linking to them? That way Dakka will automatically re-size the images to a better size for viewing.

Whenever I saw that picture I always thought that bear riders would make great Valhallan Rough Riders. Great job all around on this one.

Today I didn't even have to use my hot-shot las; I gotta say it was a good day.

Looks good. Wish the pics were a little less blurry, just to pick out the details, but overall they look really good.

Bear cavalry! Woot!
That inspires me to make some different RR mounts. I'm thinking wolves for Valhallans...

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

The bit stuck on the side of England. Wales isn't it.

Just a thought did you ever consider polar bears?
Great work by the way. as grey death said this idea will live on in other armies around the world.

So perfect, so cool. The riders poses are just right and the weapons you used really complement them.

I like the brown bears!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

You have an advantage. They will almost certainly get to charge, your opponent will feel guilty about removing such models from the table, at least the first time.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

those are sick.

last time i saw a bear in a tabletop game it was when my black skaven was chopping down a kislevite bear in a mordheim campaign several years back.

I think my rats would have a tougher time with these beast though. well done.
