Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

So I like chaos pretty good but I don't like fitting it into the confines of a 40k list. I actually wanted to play Chaos when I first started but found the 3.5 edition book confusing. So what I think I will do is take Siege of Vraks, the Chaos book and the demon book, and the Apoc datasheets and make a cool Chaos army, built around a bad-ass Khorne lord. And only play it in Apocalypse, or 40k if I really want. I mean I have enough armies.

So you know in Storm of Iron (Iron Warriors) when the titans and the Vindicators and the everything else assault the Space Marine fortress? Like that. And probably some demon stuff that can teleport in without having to worry about making a competitive list with their Heralds and all that stupid stuff. Besides I want a couple boxes of Bloodletters for the bits . That, and I want to have a Coven. So a couple Demon Princes, a couple Sorcerors, maybe a Nurgle Lord (Typhus). I will probably scam most of the tanks off Ebay. I don't see the point in buying Preds etc if I am not going to convert them much.

So I am not an experienced blogger like Kid_Kyoto and all the rest of them, and I need to practice my painting but here we go.

So here is my start:

I might actually start ... why not ... tomorrow is a day ... by painting up my Heroquest guys I have. So no conversions on them, I don't want to mess with their traditional look. I'm not using toothpicks .

If anyone has ideas for miniatures ranges, etc, etc feel free to comment.

"you can do it in apoc!"

the shoehorn used to squeeze 1000s of Baneblades into an ill fitting Ultramarine boot.

so I found my gravel/ sand flock buried at the bottom of a box and I am waiting for it to stop raining/ the priority to get them primed. But here we go. I am looking forward to painting these guys just to paint them. Different colours, etc. Call me fussy.

I based some D&D minis while I was it, good times, good times. I am humbled by Centurian's demon army I think it took me just as long to glue the flock on.

Note that attention-deprived that I am, I have a hard time focussing on more than one thing at a time, so I doubt I will be making the malfred-esque contributions to the site that I have been making, although I will have certain things on RSS. I enjoy helping out with lists, for example. It would not do to lose my eye for critique of the fine art for warfare in the Grim Darkness.

So is that demon-looking thing in the back from heroquest? Can you still buy it or are you just extremely lucky?

my mother thought ahead. That and there is a very embarrassing Orc guy with a broken sword and the demon thing needs a new whip.

And yes he is a cool dude. In fact, I think I will stick with the skull motif for the general army's emblems and things. I was thinking these guys could be general mutant rabble.

Well maybe for a starters if your not going to use tanks in an apoc army and just have heaps of lords you might find yourself in a bit of a pickle. But hey they that aproch might work, personaly i havent really played an army without tanks but thats just how i roll. If your going to be converting then id say have all of your troops leaders and whatever floats ya boat, but add a defiler or two, ive seen some really really good conversions with them before, and its easy as pie.

They come with all of the stuff that you'd need to make it look sweet. Also if your going to go heavy on conversions your might find yourself wanting to go to warhammer chaos for some unreal looking bitz. But run with what you have going and c how it turns out.

That's what I am talking about. I am looking at a Datasheet for a 'Coven'. You take a bunch of Lords with Chosen and Termies and you get an Apoc-sized template to lay some smack down once a game.

After that, I was going to mix fantasy chaos bits with CSM and Berzerkers to make Berzerkers and IoK CSM and Chosen. And bits from the plastic Bloodletters.

As for tanks, it would have to see how it goes. Baneblades at a discount as well as the Warmachines and siege machines from the datasheets. However many 1/2 price Predators I can scam off of Ebay, Bartertown and local players. Whatever I feel like collecting, basically.

I was looking at something like building a cool fortress. So the fortress gets attacked, the HQs are inside and when the walls are breached they fight back. The other option is Apoc rules (Strategic Reserves?) or the princes/ terminators and jump infantry can Deep Strike. Score.
