Did I offend you personally some how? It seems some toes have been stepped on.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, I just thought it might be helpful to have a positive perspective added in. If not, I'll bow out.

No mate you haven't offended me, irritated though. I just find it a little much that someones second post in a thread about a kickstarter that is two years late is to tell everyone that everything is hunky-dory. Then further back this up with posts that are contrary and poorly thought out. Like your second sentence here, if you hadn't offended me before that's a pretty good way of going about it don't you think?
still heres an olive branch.

Aside from them being late on both KS I've had a positive experience with them as well. After TGG1 I knew what to expect from them and was not surprised by them being late on TGG2. Is that ok? I would prefer punctuality but I accepted it as part of dealing with RH and to the extent of my experience participating in KS. For both KS I do a thorough quality control session with all of the minis I receive and they have replaced anything I found issues with so I give them a good rating on customer service. They have always responded to my emails or KS messages when I contact them. I would prefer they update more often but I have never been in doubt that I would receive my models. At this point in time I think there is ample opinions both for and against backing a RH KS so anyone that is thinking about it can make an informed decision. I think their sculpts are beautiful and fun to paint. I have not had any of the issues with mold release with either KS. I opted for all resin and have received all of my minis.

Of all the things I fault them for, the timeline isn't much of it.

That said, I'd have taken some of that workflow time and used it to create new and better estimates for how damned long the rest of the process was going to take and attempt to manage customer expectations just a bit. It's more time consuming than people expect, but when your project blows up into entire different levels of scale so do time lines. People expecting the original time line are simply wrong, but for them to have done little to nothing to manage it better despite having experience with it once prior is painful to watch.

The time line slip was going to happen if they were going to grow in a sane way and not immediately collapse if they don't have such massive success with their next campaign. They really should have been more on top of it though. And they shouldn't have put heels on everything. The problem has been the relative silence on any kind of markers for release and/or when delays occur.

My experience has been pretty good with them. Each delivery I got some faulty or incorrect models but they replaced them with no questions. The second replacement took a while though and a few chasing emails as they were trying to get out everyone’s original pledge.

I will say I wasn’t desperate to receive the models quickly. I have such a backlog I’ve only painted a couple of them. If you were wanting the models for a project I can see why someone would be annoyed.

I think Kickstarter should just have a "Haha, but seriously." clause that automatically add +1 year to the fulfilment date of any geek project, and +2 if it involves miniatures. It's clear that wargame companies are simply incapable of guessing how long their business takes.

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

I'd type more, but I'd get a PM then from people telling me to stop.

Does anyone have a shot of the Lust Elves besides the GW Witch Elves?

I am tempted to grab some of the Lust Elves to use with all the new Daughters of Khaine, but want to make sure they scale well.

I've been informed by e-mail that they would have sent my order (among the very last), except that they had run out of bases. I just laughed. I'm hoping I can be the very last person to receive their figures - my two minutes of fame. Any day now, surely? How many others are still waiting?

I sent them an email 3 weeks ago and ...they responded quickly. saying that it SHOULD be this week, please emial them back if it wasn't (Elias was very polite)

I sent an email 2 weeks ago and they were like, "We are out of bases, but should be fixed soon! (Elias was ... polite)

I sent an email a week ago and was told that "Casting the alter is really hard...so ..there's a delay (Elias is matter of fact about this)

I'm gonna wait till Monday to send my fourth email to see where its all at.

I got kicked out of their Warstages terrain kickstarter for being "impolite" and asking too many questions..

Delivery was supposed to be June... June this year.

They haven't shown anything since the end of the project. All they did was post some updates with content from before the project had even started.

What a mess.

I am kind of happy I got my money back.. but now I cannot participate in the mess anymore :(

Ive gotten updates about it...3 or so I think. We even got pdf's and stuff to print our own little add ons.

I feel "mess" is currently a overstatement

You're lucky. I wish I could get my money back and get some other terrain right now. I don't want to wait for another year when the project was supposed to be nearly completed already.

Did you get any update about the process of completing the project ? Because I didn't. We got some background about how they got the idea and prototyping stuff. But actual progress ? Nope.

I've had TWO CMoN miniature boardgames deliver early.

Kingdom Death: Monster 1.5 is "on time".

If a project runs more than a year late, it's likely to fail beyond mere lateness.

Most of my latest Kickstarters have been quite accurate. Maybe a month or two later.. nothing compared to Raging Heroes 2-3 years late!

ehh. This opinion is not going to be shared by every one but...of the 30-40 KS Ive backed (too too many) rough half of them have been stupid delayed.

I maybe jaded to delays so ....none of there hold ups really bother me. I feel the terrain KS is actually doing better than ny initial predictions

Nothing compares to the hero quest 25th anniversary debacle. and if I can manage to not be mad about that..then..the rest is gravy.

Middara by succubus miniatures is currently the winner for most delayed KS Ive ever backed. There cresting 4 years I think.

Anyway just my opinion. I still like the company, Ill probably back their silly new game.

My longest delayed was three years and I wasn't at all bothered but I find RH... objectionable. I think its more to do with the refusing to communicate on the platform they took money from, the not answering emails and the fact that I get loads of emails from them telling me about the sales they are running for minis that they still haven't delivered from the Kickstarter. The actual delay isn't that irksome, after all its not like I am actually going to get them painted anytime this decade.

But still, its all about the workflow!

Ok Ok...I will abck you up on this part. That is a tad irritating....to see all the sales and deals and what nots. I get that my alter is basically stopping my order from going out. But at least the option to get another midshipment might be nice

Bye the way... could anyone from the warstages kickstarter send me their latest e-mail? Since I got kicked and they stopped putting stuff into kickstarter updates, I am missing out on the disaster.

I'm talking about the one from a month ago where they claim their family members have been ill or something.

Thanks

I got my package complete at 5:10 Eastern Time, today, August 11th, 2018. Can anyone beat that? I also got a very kind letter apologizing and blathering vaguely about some kind of software glitch and saying I was among the very last to receive my stuff.
