A while ago i got bored and started making my own daemon prince as i dont like the current GW ones, just bothered to finish it and heres the result.
paint needs a fair ammont of work as does the base, just wanted some C&C on the actual model.
enjoy.

PS: i said heavy, but this may not be true depending on how you class heavy

Parts:

Head: ogre kingdoms hunter - belt bukle (Jaw: O&G boar charriot sprue)
Body: Tyranid - Broodlord
Legs: Tyranid - Broodlord
Wings: High elf - plastic dragon wings (cut down and trimmed)
tabbards: O&G/CSM - cut down O&G banner / termy lord tabbard (i think)
Claw: Ork - Kommando Nobz klaw
Halberd: O&G haft: ork banner pole / Blade: 2 cleaver shaped choppas cut and fitted to shape (skull on chain: rat ogre chain / Old skelly command sprue skull)
Arms: Ork - standard ork boy arms with a little G on shoulders to fit better
main: Pure GS, with the odd rat ogre spike thrown in for more evilness

Paint: very basic, but need to paint 2,500 of ork in a month, so this will have to wait before i give it a decent paint job

anything ive mised?
or any other questions about the build feel free to ask

thats a great model well done! my favourite part is also the place that i think you have made a mistake. the work on the axe and claw, the way the rust colour blends is fantastic. i love it, really really effective.....but that highlight line around the edge really lets it down. i would paint over it so you are left with only the rust colour, and then to highlight the edge and light drybrush of bolt gun and a very light drybrush of silver. and when you have done that, a tutorial on how you painted that rust....pretty please
many thanks

thanks everyone.

@spawn: yep, the hair (main) down its back is all GS, the straps holding the armour plates on are GS, a small bit on the arms, and a fair bit on the body.

@Phil: i accidently done it
just need to use very light drybrushes of:

1: blazing orange
2: fiery orange
3: golden yellow

thats all i did to get that.

@fnc: which ork parts? both arms, weapons and armour are all ork.
but i take it you mean the klaw?
part of his fluff that was written suggested he tore it from an or warlord as paybacks, nothing in the fluff, just thought a daemon with a nice power klaw would work.

His axe is way cool, looks like its just been pulled out of the forge and the metal is red hot! The brass armor is very "Khorney". I likes it! Dont like the white highlight either its way distracting.

I like it, but, as you know, the paint job isn't great. I agree with jedi that the white highlights aren't that great for the model. Also, I would think a daemon would not have a Power Klaw, or equivalent. It looks good, but it makes very little sense fluff wise.

Not too shabby, though I have to say I'm not a fan of running legs on any model. Yet to see it done really well.

Not a crit of yourself so much as the pose in general.

I like him but I think the head is a bit too cute for a Khornate Daemon. Very well done.

I vote for repainting and then keeping it. Most people who are looking for a Khorne Prince are probably going to also look for a fluffy one and not a power-klaw one...does NOT make any fluff sence.

I do like the rest though, IMO a really nice conversion.

If I were you, I would keep this model. It seems like it was alot of work to simply sell it. Keep it, use it in games, and let people see how good you are at converting.

blend the white better or just get rid of it, maybe put a brown wash over the bleached bone parts to help with depth.

nooblord: im thinking of ripping off da klaw, need one for a mek , ideas for a replacement?

extrenm(54): i dont have any daemons, sold them off once i painted them, this was still WIP at that point.

wash-away: please read what i have posted.
its going to be re-painted.
the white lines were for matching it up but i never got around to getting rid of them.

may even paint it up for the new dakka painting comp.
