After talking with Huge eldar he convinced me to go with what I know works and is proven for me. Even though its 2500 and the game dynamics change a little the tourny will still be decided by how you play the objectives. I think the traditional hybrid tau list works best in this instance. Im trying something new and putting the broadsides on the front lines. Giving them multitrackers instead of ASS and plasma too. My reasoning is I can always get 3 6/2 Tl shots at 24 even if they have to move. Pairing them up with the solo HQ and giving them 4 inv saves. I figure most people will still shoot my tanks with the equipment they will need to hurt that squad. Its pretty much unaffected by DoW because 99% of the time your broadsides cant see that turn anyways. Anyways wanted to throw it out there and see what everyone thinks probably what I will run in rd2. Questions and comments appreciated.

Looks pretty solid.

I would probably split the kroot into 2 squads, but that is just a matter of preference. Gives you another scoring unit.

Only other thing that I might do is take a couple less firewarriors in favor of a couple more pathfinders.

Are you planning on the firewarriors jacking the pathfinder's ride?

yes the fire warriors are gonna jack the path finders fpr there fish. Not such a big deal as I can still basically start them in the fish regaurdless of the scenario. I reallt tinkered with the idea of splitting the kroot but I will more likely than not be flank marching them and statisically they should just about kill a 10 man squad of marines on the charge. I wanted to leave the fire warriors at the numbers they are at as to make them useful still. any lower and the squads arent really worth picking up the marker lights. At least now they can lay some hurt if they pick up two lights.

You can't start them in the `fish if they're Dedicated Transports belonging to another unit. You'll have to start em next to each other and embark on your first turn.

I am aware that they cant start in the fish first turn but they should be able to mount up no problem on my first turn.

I have done a slight tweak to the list. I dropped one of the rail heads in favor of a sky ray with a BSF. I also changed up the TL flamer squad to have a gun drone each in stead of the MP. The extra points were sunk into a fire warrior for each of the foot slogging squads.
