Tactical Marines now come with bolt pistol and bolter (usually). They no longer have the combat knife listed as a close combat weapon.

Chaos Space marines have CCW and Bolt Pistol along with Bolter.

So, do Loyalist marines have ONE attack in close combat, two on the charge? CSM in contrast get two attacks and 3 on the charge.

In the section on CCW it describes using the butt of the gun as a CCW-for historical gamers this might remind you of advice given to musketeers in the English Civil War where charges were delivered with 'butt end of musket and pike'. It opens the question of whether Loyalist marines actually get 1 close combat attack for the butt end of the holy bolter, and one for the bolt pistol or the same as CSM.....

I don't have the new codex yet, but if it lists just bolter and bolt pistil they only get one. It would have to say , bolter, bolt pistol, and close combat weapon for them to get two.

Yup just one. Nice that Chaos still has something that the Loyalist don't

Yep... that page fell out of the Codex Astartes on the way to press. So Tactical Marines do not carry Bolter, Pistol and Combat Knife, just the first 2.

As long as they do not then get chased off the board, but not caught, by a consolidating enemy within 6".
