Hi everybody! (hi panzersmurf, let me hear you shout it...)

So, I'm the new guy on the proverbial block, so, let me appraise you all of what I've been working on in my gaming career the past few months .

First up, I want to share with you my fun list, the one I usually play (and tweak a bit) for just fun and sportive games, where I dont play to win at all .

So...

- Wind of chaos or gift of chaos (especially the latter is hilarious sometimes...)

last and definately not least, my pointfilling and usually hilarious but useless spawn.

Feel free to discuss and point out things about these two lists, but keep in mind their contexts, for a local night of gaming I will never use the second list, except when i very well know the other fella is a powerplaying kinda character...

Tourney list (since your fun list is just that, no critiqing necessary):

Havoc launchers on rhinos are wasted points. The rhino should only be a one turn ride only, after that if it is still there it should be moving cover(if the enemy lets it get even that far). No upgrades for rhinos is the best option.

It looks like you are going for a themed nurgle force that has a shooting flank and a tough middle. In order to do that you need to consider a few things:

You'd do better to have plague marines(you can get 8 in a naked rhino for about the same price as your 10 in rhino with launcher). They are tough as nails and hard to get off an objective(particularly when the objective is in cover and they go to ground). Oh yeah, you also need fists in those squads. Power weapons are wasted on everyone but zerker champs.

You also need something a little more killy than bikes. Shooting in a chaos army that is not 2 lash sorcs and 9 dps will never destroy all of your opponents army. The kind of shooting you are toting is a soften them up so I can break them kinda shooting.

So I suggest taking the 250 - 300 points you spent on the bikers to get something good in HTH. Take some nurgle themed berzerkers, or beef up with more plage marine squads with fists. Abadabadingdong could also add some uber killy power to a plague marine unit if you don't have or want extra squads.

I'm not saying do this or else, just looking at what it looks like you are trying to do and seeing how I think you could carry the theme a little further.

So with my suggestins you would have something like:

2dp
2 plague marine squads with fists and rhinos
1 berzerker squad with pw and rhino (or another plague marine or csm squad if you are a mark purist).
2 vindicators
3 oblits.

That should be right around 1500 and would fare a little better than your previous list(also be thematic which is cool in my opinion).

Feel free to disagree or keep the things you like though. Chaos is a pretty fun army, but the competitive builds are a little different than they used to be.

Well, I'm not really going for the nurgle thing. (gotta get my army fluff up here on of the days).
The feel no pain has never treated me nicely, something about me managing saves... Perhaps I should get new dice or something...
For the tourney, I wanted to have fluent force, the rhino's will draw tons of fire in the first turns, if they even survive that far, so perhaps letting time for the bikers to find a weakness in the opponents battle line and take advantage of that, supported by the prince. That amount of T6 never made anyone happy. But I'm still thinking about it, gotta test it one of the days, because the models are allmost finished, except for the vindies.
