It had been silent for some time. Colonel Lekuu pressed up close against the sentry posts window, observing a dark and misty midnight wasteland through the scuffed glass. Something stirred up ahead, unnoticed. He opened his mouth to yawn - but couldn't finish it.
"EUGHH!-"
Eyes wide with pain and shock, he gingerly ran his fingers along his jaw and up into his mouth, feeling a protruding shard of crystal skewering him to the chair he sat on. the glass wasnt even cracked, but the splinter-like intrusion had speared through and impaled him with the utmost precision. In his dying moments, he heard the alarm of his alerted soldiers, felt the warmth of blood flowing down his throat and saw the merciless sneer of the Scourge through the window. ... here we go again.
So, on impulse, i bought some Dark Eldar models of a friend. I'd being drawing some concepts in a sketch book for a small city fight army that could be painted fast and would still look effective. Plus, i wanted to try out a new style of base. The models that i bought were:
♦ 2 Scourges with Dark Lances
♦ 3 Grotesques
♦ 5 Mandrakes
I tried a colour scheme that i'd been planning out for some time. The models were a pleasure to paint and i did both the scourges in a matter of minutes. Oh yeah, and i'd never even used metallic paint on a
40k model
so dont judge me to harshly ^^
