I have never painted something that is bigger than a stegadon. I wonder how to Paint a tank, a rhino for example do you use a airbrush or something?

Isn't a stegadon about the same size as a rhino? You can use larger 'tank' brushes if you need to.

Airbrush is best for a smooth finish.

If you go and look at a real tank, though, the paint is usually kind of rough.

for a nice look i like the airbrush... its quick and great results... but if you want realism... dust primer on it about 7 times to build up a texture... use some 600 grit sand paper on 50% of the flat serfaces, then paint. gives it that crusty look in the faying surfaces and sanding will smooth out doors and big panels.
