At 00:41, hanging from the Avatar's back strap, are 2 runes out of 4 I cannot identify. The 2 lower runes by the Avatar's buttocks are Warp Spider and Shining Spear. Since all the runes the Avatar has hanging from his straps are Aspects, does this suggest 2 new Aspects?
Hanging from the Avatar's L chest, next to the Fire Dragon rune, there is another rune with the bottom like a C. Another unknown Aspect?
That rune is similar to another the Fire Dragons use too but the C it's open to the opposite side so maybe.
Also worth noticing Shadow Spectres rune it's in the Avatar.
Ah my mistake. Not as familiar with Shadow Spectre rune. Ok 3 unidentified Aspect runes then.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

Conflicted by Maugan Ra...overall I really like it but the huge split legged stance just looks really daft. If his right leg was directly under him it would be fine, but those splits just make it a "look at my junk" pose.
Overall looking good and the new bikes look very nice and I like that they appear to have a bit more decoration than the current jetbikes; helps them stand apart.
Nothing that wasn't hinted at with leaks, but its great to see the detail and solid confirmation!
And if I recall right this does take us up to all the currently leaked photos of things?

The Spiders have only ever had one kit. I think they should go first.
Yeah Spiders or Swooping Hawks should be first in line for plastic.
Absolutely. 1, warp spiders in metal on 25mm bases can only ever be placed on perfectly flat ground without falling over, given the heavy warp jump packs and the heavier spinners. 2, swooping hawks could be made glorious in plastic... I would expect something really amazing, and would love to paint them.
But, GW decides to replace stuff that is already good (warlocks) and add things that sure, are nifty e.g. corsairs but that do not address issues with fundamentals... I always have the sense that GW is in starry-eyed expand the IP universe mode rather than build from solid ground mode. Yet more evidence that this is a corporation putting profit and potential copyright claims over integrity, nothing new in terms of contemporary business (anti-) ethics but still, one can dream.
I am happy GW is make new stuff like Shroudrunners.
Nostalgia-baiting with updates to old crap is fine, but some of those Aspects and Phoenix Lords should('ve) really gone the way of Mutilators and Doomrider (hello Dark Reapers!!). Concepts are dated.

What? Reapers are awesome! And integral to the Eldar pantheon of aspects...

Absolutely not.
Can you stick with these for another 15 or so years though

You alluding to the concept or to the models? Why should the concept ever change? I mean, in 15 years, would we expect entirely different races and factions and so on ...? Would it even be 40k? Anyways, I will likely be dead by then, just hope that GW wrecking what was great about the universe (for me, anyways) isn't the thing that finally does me in...
The original Maugan Ra, back when he was first released, was one of the first two 40k models I ever bought (The other was Baharroth) so I have a bit of a soft spot for that model... but one of the things I liked most about it was that compared to other Eldar he was rather chunky. That heavy build suited his character and background, and mean that he didn't just look like a slightly fancier Death Jester. He wasn't in a fancy pose... he was just a solid rock of an ancient Eldar, and he would move when he was gorram ready, by tarnation!
This new version... They've taken Maugan Ra's armour and added 10% MORE BONES! ... but without the heavy-set build, he just looks like a Death Jester in the middle of getting caught out by the rubble he's standing on splitting in the middle.
I like the rest of it, aside from the afore-mentioned stupidly large Avatar. Shining Spears are a solid update to the new biker look, and the scouty guys are lovely.
Esmer wrote: Maugan Ra has one of the most obnoxious cases of Tactical Rock I've seen in a while.
Relief, I was beginning to feel like we wouldn't see any tactical rocks.
I guess more like 'tactical ruins' in this case. Personally, I enjoy modelling my own bases, adding my own rocks and so on... part of the hobby. The use of these 'tactical rocks' more than anything makes the conversion of models more difficult, and adds less than zero value imho.

Exactly on the Maugan Ra concept... He was supposed to be a brick. Now he does look like a very cool DJ though!
And agreed on the rest - I am in line for that upcoming box with the excuse to finally build out that Chaos marine collections I have been hoarding for 20years...

Hm. Not really a fan of that Maugan Ra, TBH. The cloak doesn't do anything for me, other than make me think "rent c'tan", the pose is naff, and the base is absolutely ridiculous.
The new Maugan is a bit odd but I still like the model regardless.
Ditching the back-banner and a brand new coat from the Harlequins dressing room, it would be a fabulous Death Jester. But as Maugan, I'm not too sure on the hood. Also, as a tanky-looking Eldar, it would have been better to have Maugan firmly on the ground.
If I were able to take both Reapers and Jesters in the same patrol detachment I would be incredibly happy as it would be a perfect HQ for both. Sadly I don't think that's a possibility in the new codex, even though its bundling Craftworlds and Harlequins together. But I suppose theres always open play...

The implementation of the concept on the models. In general these are very similar to the current range. Its like a baby step in therms of visual update. I for one would like all minis to be thinner and look more agile for eldar. Concepts can be applied in so many ways.

The new Aspect sculpts? Yes.
Great I guess GW catered to the Eldar fans foremost. I mean more power if your happy to stick with a model style for 30? years.

...I mean...
Yes and no? Primaris did happen.
To be clear it was not a sarcasm jab. I really think if someone loves a design so much and manages to stick to that for decades long deserves a medal.
Going even further I take my hat to old hammer collectors. Legends.
Is he not as big as on that image? Also smaller would look tiny compared to Greater Demons.
Based on the base size (assuming the 80 mm is correct), the avatar is about a head shorter than a keeper of secrets. So not too bad, but I would have liked him to be as big.

They did happen. And they still look the same style as all other marines. So...
