Which hits 1st?

referring to chariots, BRB page 63 .... "these hits are inflicted at the very beginning of the combat, even before challenges are declared and before any model gets to attack"

referring to ASF, BRB page 94 .... "models with this special rule always strike first in close combat, even before models that have charged that turn and regardless of initiative"

Imapct hits are not "striking" and go before ASF combat... check the FAQ's on the GW site for support of this. (No I don't remember which one, but it basically said Impact hits were always first)

Its fairly clear by the rules that Impact Hits are resolved even before the normal combat sequence begins.

Indeed. Nothing trumps Impact Hits when charging. NOTHING.

Which is why Chariots are hilarious against pansy High Elves, as you can just run down their front rank then slap the rest around a bit.
