Here is my first list for VC. Let me know what you think.

Vamp w/ flayed hauberk, dispel scroll, dark acolyte, lord of the dead (with or near skellies)

Vamp w/ nightshroud, Sword of battle, dark acolyte, summon ghouls (with ghouls)

Necromancer w/ additional spell and book of Arkhan

Skellies x16 w/ standard bearer, musician, spears 156
skellies x16 (as above) 156
ghouls x 15 120
dire wolves x5 40
dire wolves x5 40
Grave Guard x15 w/ full command, banner of the barrows 255
cairn wraiths x5 w/ banshee 275

It actually comes out to 1532 because I forgot to pay for spears. While on the subject, how important are spears on the skellies?

i dont like spears on skellies. skellies are so bad in combat thats its not worth trying to make them better. they are a tarpit unit and should have shields and hand weapons so that they last a little longer.

Ok thanks for the input. The reason I ask is that I just picked up my first skellies and I couldn't decide whether to assemble them with spears or hand weapons and honestly I think hand weapons look better.

Greetings

I would dump the Necromancer and get more Ghouls. Also spears are not needed with skeletons waste of points. A corpse cart would also be very helpful.

skeletons are only good with spears if using helm of commandment.

Make your skeletons start out at 10 instead of 16 to save on points, then raise them.

same with ghouls.
