I suppose I should take it at face value since it doesnt say it counts as a march movement but ill ask your guys opinion anyways
under reforming Pg14 brb it says a unit can reform as long as none of the models move more then twice there movement (so for men no more then 8inches)
The question is moving double your movement is basically a march so can an undead (move4) still move 8inches to reform or are they down to 4

yes they can still move 8" because you can still reform if there is an enemy inside 8" but you can't march.

Reforming is not a march. They just put in that little 8" thing so you don't stretch out across the board and magically teleport to the center with a reform.

its not a 8" limmit its double move.
Neat trick to use with tomb king chariots and their free reform. the models can move upto 16" so long as the center of the unit moves no more than 8".

Please put this on your sig if you know someone, work for someone or are related to someone who suffers from stupidity. Stupidity is real and should be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a sufferer right now. There is still no known cure for stupidity and sympathy does not help. But we can raise awareness.... 93% won't copy and paste this because they don't know how to copy and paste |

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the BRB states (in the Fast Cav section) that even with the free reform, no model may move more than it's movement (or 2x if marching) in any one movement phase. So this would mean since TK can't march, no model can end up more than 8" away from where it started, regardless of what the reform rules say.

Those rules are specific to Fast Cav IIRC, and should not be applied to undead. As explained undead my reform up to double their movement as it is not a march move.

Reforming is not marching. Two different things.

I understand that as the answer to the original question, however I was responding to Leith's "tactic" of using the TK Chariots (which are Fast Cav) and moving 8" then reforming another 8", which seems like it goes against the specific fast cavalry rules. It's also mentioned in the FAQ Part 2, using reforms to get extra movement is considered wrong.

Fast Cav have a specific rule that states no model may move more than its maximum movement. This does apply to TK Chariots.
