Subject: Need ideas for Space Wolf honor guard...

Hiding in a dark alley with a sharp knife!

Like so many other players with SM armies, I've fallen in love with the new codex and am trying out some of the new units types it contains. (I also very much apreciate the nods to the past such as the return of the conversion beamer and thudd gun, but that's a whole other topic)
Now a little background before I actually get to my question. My Space Wolf army, like so much of what I own and play with, is a "retro" army. Well over 90% of the figures I use are RT and early 2nd edition marine figures. Moreover I'm using alot of the pre MK6 armour varients. I also have painted them up using the original paint sceme for the Space Wolf chapter as well as the original rank badges from the RT rule book. The overall feel and intent of the army is for it to be a "heresey era" Space Wolf force. I think I've brought it off pretty well. Certainly it's a unique looking army.
Likewise I tend to run it using the codex marine list rather than the (IMHO) sill "Space viking" SW list. It fits the feel of the army and the original Space Wolves Fluff alot better.
Here is my delima.
I want to paint up an honor guard for my chapter master. I'm planing on using some of the old "Space marines with terminator honors" and "artificer armour" figures as a base. But how should I pick out these guys as being special while still maintining the feel of my army? (recall that this was before color coded shoulder pads and the like) Toss some ideas at me!
Thanks in advance.

Lots of Wolf-esque bling. Furs etc. some warpaint or runic designs might set them apart as well

That's all well and good.
But I don't have a single "viking" SW in my whole army. The army has the feel of the original chapter and fluff.

Bases would be the easiest way, and if unable to "wolfify" the bases, to keep your original theme, just have them standing on snowy rocks or tree limbs, but not higher than the Lord.
