If it's clear that they are Bloodcrushers and not anything else, then would I think so. I'd try to Khorne them up as much as possible just to make it clearer.

Some some bitz from the Berzerker sprues - shoulder pads, maybe even the bunny-ear helms. Throw some khorne symbols on them, on the shields, etc. Maybe use one of the big chunky Khorne-symbol helms from 40k or WFB. And they wouldn't all have to be the same. You could do lots of things with them - make the horsemen looks like world eaters, or just make them more demonic. Maybe use bitz from the new bloodletters sprue even - use arms and swords, heads, maybe even the whole torso. All depends what effect you're looking for, but I think anything with some khorne bitz thrown on them will make them look better.

Dark elf cold ones with bloodletters riding them works well too. Its only about $66 for ten(I think they are all $22 boxes).
The same principal could be applied to the chaos cav ie bloodletters riding the horse.
If you go with a no bloodletter option I think it is important to khornify them as suggested above, and make it clear they have power weapons. Make the swords or axes bright icy blue or green in contrast to some dark reds or whatever on the rest of the model. Or green stuff them to be flaming. Something that will remind them that the cavalry is in fact strong power weapon attacks. I don't know what options the cav comes with but if they can have greatswords that woudl be perfect.
If you can get skulls put them on the bases. Or bodies strewn about with bloody entrails. That will help the khorne theme as well, and since 60mm are nice and big, why not take the advantage of mini dioramas. Making the horses hooves and eyes, or tail/mane flaming would also give them a nice "hell horse" feel. I would avoid lances and static poses. Put cork board rocks on the bases and have the horeses rearing, running, jumping, etc. Have the riders wide armed(with a little gs in the joints), etc. Find screaming/yelling heads with hair (say from empire flagellents or somethign similar maybe?). That would halp the crazed look you would want from maniacle murding cavlary. Trophy racks with gs guts from necks and torsos could also do the trick.
Anyway, thats my way more than two cents.

thanks! i love the ideas. and the flaming hooves on the horses are definetly the things i had in mind. about the cold ones. i plan to use them for seekers of slaanesh or fiends. but i will not field both seekers and fiends looking like the cold ones as not to confuse the opponent.
yes i get what you mean with the sword. from the looks of it, they come with lances as well. and im just about to try to mix and match the blood letter bits with the chaos knights bits.
