kk well lets see where to start.

Drop the jump pack on your captain. Its quiet pointless to have one on him if nothing else has it. No one to join.

Get rhinos for all your tactical squads if your going to get one you might as well get 3. You want to go for a fast moving army.

I don't really get the 3 attack bikes but what ever, you can have them in it. id probably upgrade them to multis and make them tank hunters. Turbo boost first turn second fire away and youl most likely kill anything.

Drop the dready in the pod. hes gonna be the only thing dropping and hes gonna be dead in the one turn so you just gave your opponent a kill point. keep him back arm him with a lascannon and have him trudge across the board firing at any Armour that's around.

You have a crap load of termies. Id probably drop the assault cannon squad then you have points to fiddle around with for other things. Maybe an assault squad or two. i think they'd be better off in a fast moving army.

Upgrade the captain to a chapter master. the orb bomb is nice. Stick him in the assault termi squad. You now have a very hard hitting unit for pretty much anything you want to nuke on the charge.

As for the thud cannon you can take it or leave it. totally up to you. Its a personal preference really.

kk this list is much better. few things to point out

the chapter master still has a jump pack. If you put him with the vangaurds they cant do their thing (deep strike then charge thing, name escapes me) Drop the jump pack and throw him in with the termies.

Im not sure if the rules changed but you usta be able to have 6 termies in a crusdaer. if they havent you could easily put him in thier with them.

Other then that the list seems fine and happy gaming.

I think they ca still do the heroic intervention thing if accompanied by a captain. I'm not sure as I don't have the rule book with me.

You can have 8 termies in a 'sader.

Personally, I'd drop the vanguard, and take some more bikers, they really like th cover provided by tanks. Also, Vanguard with jumppacks are prohibitively expensive.

I like the list though I think that the sargeants have recieved a bit too much love.

I would change the combi-weapons to combi-flamers because you won't have to hit with them and it is also a good thing to have a flamer when you disembark from a rhino right in front of the enemy. But I can see that you took those combi-weapons because they were in the commander box. Am I right?

yes you are right Zaephyr. I will replace the vanguard with a Assault Squad and add some more bikes.
No the vanguard cannot use heroic intervention if an independent character has joined the squad.

You should remove the plasma pistol from the assault squad sergeant and give it to one of the normal assault marines. It will cost as much and your wargear will be distributed to two members instead of one.

Yes he does, but only normal bikes when there is at least 5 members in the squad. So this army list wouldn't benefit from it.

I think your both thinking of a captain... Chapter masters don't do anything on a bike other then be on a bike.

Blah. He's just as deadly as a captain, if we don't note the orbital bombardment. Am I right about that? If he wishes to use it, he must have been stationary in the movement phase. Even if he has relentless USR. You can't really use the bike then. But chapter masters' honour guard sure is dead killy.
