In a remarkable turn of events, I post a second entry into the M+P forums within 2 months of my last. Achievement unlocked I suppose. Anyway, I recently decided to try dabbling in Hordemachine and picked up a bunch of Skorne models, simply because they were the single faction that had the least amount of horrible models (heads and faces notwithstanding). My last outing with Warmachine was the Cryx battlegroup 4+ years ago, and after the chip-fest that turned out to be, shelved all intentions of painting any more. Privateer Press has improved since then, my average rating of their models is now "passable" compared to "horrific" from before, and they are finally starting to produce some geniunely nice minis.

Anyway, on to the pictures before I rant any more:

Warpack - I've switched Hexeris in for Morghoul

And here's the evil bastard himself:

Titan Gladiator:

Cyclops:

And finally, a WiP of Ashlynn. The Greenstuff is actually a lot better in real life, though still not great. I'm banking on my painting to touch up, conceal and provide more definition for a lot of the figure.

The figures were fairly enjoyable to paint. This is my first major outing with the new GW Washes, and I must say I am *loving* them. Also tried some glazing for the first time to shade the banners. Didn't turn out too bad I think. I thought Hexeris had a really funny pose (Should I hit them with my staff, or my finger? Hmm...) so I repositioned him. Fixed his goofy-looking weapon as well, reminded me too much of those double-ended giant nerf bats you find in funfairs. Banners were decal-ed, and that's pretty much it. Looking to finish off the infantry now so I can get a 500pt band up and running.

Comments and criticisms welcomed!

Cheers

Nice modeling and painting. Good work.

"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."
