Please for give my ignorance. I just picked up the tau codex today to read through it before playing a proxy army prior to possibly starting a Tau army.

The pathfinders are equipped with Pulse carbines with marker light designators, my question is how do these work? If i chose to shoot the markerlights at one unit with 8 pathfinders, supposing that all eight pathfinders hit, would i put 8 markerlight targets on the unit?
