This is basically a thread about Storm of iron the book, and general Iron warriors discussion, also could i build an iron warriors force on the fluff from storm of iron? and i cant decide, i feel like ditching deathguard and going Iron warriors!

i actually like the book alot ... too bad honsou and his host was downgraded to a bunch of pansies that cant get crap done in the UM book.

I havent read the book but I like the color scheme of the Iron Warriors. I also like the background I have read about them.

They would make a pretty formidable Chaos army, unless you wanna make them pre-heresy.

I saw a pre-heresy Iron Warriors figure with a huge gnarly claw for a power fist. It was pretty awesome. You can see it on their Lexicanum page, just scroll down.

Flach i enjoyed the book too, just read it and you know when the warsmith starts his transformation too a demon prince? he was like half lord half warsmith, could i model a lord with wings and in a half transformation to a demon prince? I think i will go for Iron warriors, oh well deathguard can happen later.

though, i would say that since IW are Chaos Undivided, you might want to consider a squad of plaguemarines... and if people ask why you chose them, just say some thing like, what better way to break a seige better??? send the plague in, so that the defenders are all sick and weak.. and much easier for the artillery to pound to paste!!!!

ensis i'd rather not, and im trying to make a model of Honsou from storm of iron as my warsmith should i make rules for him?

P.s anyone got anymore fluff about him?

have you tried the lexicanum? they might have more on that fellow. im glad people liked that book because i was tossing the idea around of buying it but i wasnt sure seeing as most of those books that are posted on here seem to make people vomit. I too always liked the Iron Warriors. badasses the lot of um. when i played chaos i originally was the IW and the shooty ness was awesome

Yes i tried lexicanum but it doesnt have too much on him, just a brief summary, i finsihed modelling him with blue tac cause i ran out of glue, might post pic up later.

A very bad conversion i asumed that the marine on the right of the Storm of iron cover was Honsou.
