As I was looking through some old threads today, I stumbled upon this thread, particularly the "battlewagon" models by Ramshackle Games used by the Dakka user Geudens. The second group of pictures down show them. The model looks cool, it is the correct scale, and only costs 8 pounds (about $12 for a whole tank). However, I can't think of what I would actually use it for in my army. I have an Imperial Guard army based on an Adeptus Mechanicus expeditionary force supported by a trench-warfare style Imperial Guard detachment. What could I use this model for, and/or is there a way that I could make it seem more in line with other imperial vehicles? Would it fit as an Adeptus Mechanicus vehicle?

Here is another picture of the model I am thinking of:

maybe you're thinking squats cos its like one of those crazy hover buildings from starwars...you know the one where they kidnap r2d2 and c3po?

I think an exploratory vehicle could work. or some sort of cool land train!

I was actually trying to think about what to use it for in an IG army. Obviously it does look a lot like a squat land train.

EDIT: If land train is all anyone can think of I guess it might not belong in a non-squat IG army.

Ummm... In star wars it doesn't hover and its called a Sand Crawler. If you are refering to the Jawwa's transport in the first movie.

I saw that "battlewagon" in the same topic and went to check out the ramshackle games website. Unfortunately they didn't give an idea of scale for most of their models but I ordered a Half Ute in the hope I could use it as an ork trukk. It would be worth it just to add variety to my army but for £5 it will be useful as parts for conversions if nothing else. If anyone is interested I will let you know how I get on.

The only decent thought I have for it right now is an Adeptus Mechanicus transport for skitarii. Does it look to small to serve as that?

i want to say put a turret mounted thunderfire cannon on it. it fits the same deal of squaty weaponry.

I'd say if it has to be IG-related, it might suit the Vostroyans as a transport. It looks archaic, but at the same time fits in a 40k world. Much like the Vostroyans.

But you don't play Vostroyans, so it's not like that really matters.
