First off, I'd rather have scrolls then the MRoBalance. They're a bit more reliable in my book. If anything, a spellbreaker and a spelleater for that really annoying spell works just fine for me.

Seeing as your playing elves, I'd say scrap 2 outta 3 thunderers for quarellers. Cheaper and have a longer range, and work wonders against the elven long bow. Not to mention, you have 2 organ guns, and they'll lock down anything at 24 inches or less.

No BSB?

5 miners seem a bit small, I'd look to bump that up to 8-10 as one casualty won't make them non scoring.

As a personal side, I think you should try to find some points for some bolt throwers. You should always have at least 2.

And try to bump up the numbers of your warrior unit. one casualty and losing a rank because you weren't willing to pad the unit is just silly.

You need to make your lord a bit less killable. It's only going to take a turn of ASF elves getting lucky to chop him up.

Consider the master rune of Spite (4+ ward).

Also, flaming attacks against high elvs is asking for trouble, so take off his rune of burning! Last thing you want is to get stitched up by something with Dragon armour on... :(

The reason I do not take bolt throwers is because my luck is absolutly possesed. Hit on 2+? 1,1,2, 1 to wound, etc.
Miners are there to either pop up on a lonly table quater in the far corner or suicidaly charge the bolt throwers of the high elves.
What is it about Dragon Armour that makes flameing attacks a bad idea? I still get the blunt-force trauma of the axe I believe.

Dragon armour makes all flaming attacks void. you get nothing. they are immune to the attack, and seeing as it is a magic weapon, you can't swich. also, i have to disagree with switching thunderers for quarllerers. that Plus one to hit is going to come in handy, and the elves are going to have to come and get you anyways. Just put them close to the front and you should be fine, maybe even concider giving them the first turn so you won't lose a round of shooting. Oh, and the extra -1 on armour isn;t bad either. all infantry units wiil have a 6+ against xbows, but no save against you handguns. Also, I would concider dropping your Lord for Thorek and his anvil, and dropping an organ Gun for a gyrocopter. these used in combination with 10 miners will really slow down that line moving towards you.

I am a Utah man sir, I live across the green, our gang is the jolliest that you have ever seen, Our co-eds are the fairest, ans each one's a shining star, our yell you'l hear it ringing through the mountains near and far.
Who am I sir? a UTAH MAN am I. A UTAH MAN sir, I will be till I die.

KI-YI

Were up to snuff, we never bluff were game for any fuss, no other gang of college men dare meet us in the MUSS. So fill your lungs and sing it out and shout it to the sky, we'll fight for dear old Crimson for a UTAH MAN AM I!!

GO UTES!!!!

Suggesting the use of Thorek is a thought crime, and punishable by snotlings down your trousers. (Yes i play dwarves).

An anvil can be very handy. Is it just thorek you dispise? Nothing like coming up against a fear causing army and not having an anvil around to protect you. Not to mention the 3DD you get just for having it. And then there is being able to slow units, or stop flyers from moving basically, while killing them at the same time anywhere on the board also tends to be very useful. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Note: D+ can take over 12 hours of driving in Canada. It's no small task here.

Yeah it's just thorek. 3+ with a reroll for ancient power is horrendous.

I (and several people at my LGS) refuse to play thorek lists.
Just absolutely refuse to.

I'd cut the MR of Balance in favor of scrolls, stone, and a shield.
Also, as mentioned earlier, make the Thane into a BSB.

If this is 2k, I'd upgrade to 2250, put in some more miners, and consider dropping a unit of Thunderers for Quarreler rangers (Dorfs with scouts is awesome).

Otherwise, your list is very balanced and should do pretty well.
