So I have been tasked with painting up a local gamestores Space Marines.

Started out with two of the AoBR sets, a Rhino, another Tact squad, and a Land Raider Crusader.

Now I'm looking at the new Marine Codex, and wondering what the heck should be going in the Crusader to be transported?

I'm guessing that many just waste the extra space with regular marines, or make a 8 strong Termie squad.

So you Vanillla Marine players that use a Crusader...What do you throw in it?

Don't play marines, but would put 7 cc termies in there with a Character in Termy armour.

7-8 Terminators with Thunderhammers and Stormshields. Then watch your opponent cry.

Well, indeed, Termies with thunder hammers led by a Chaplain is a decent unit that take down any unit in the game.
However, the LRC is very flexible. In games where the enemy approaches your front ranks, the Termies can be deployed outside of the tank, while a unit of Marines can be transported to contest or occupy one objective.

Sternguard go very well in a LRC.
Its not a common combo but the amount of firepower you can put out can roll up a flank with worrying ease...

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

7 Assault Terminators + HQ. Terminator Chappy or maybe a Chapter Master if you wanted someplace to stick 'im.

7 dual claw terminators with kor' sarro khan means termies with furious charge and hit & run
S5 and I5 termies are nasty especially since they strike before most MEQs

The transport capability of an LRC is wasted if it transports a non-Termie squad. Sternguard die like normal Marines and should be considered in a supporting role. They don't fit into a main assault role.

If possible, 10 tactical, a dev squad of 5 and a HQ. I've forgotten if you can take more than one squad per vehicle....

One means the Mechanicum truly loses their gak, and the other means the Eldar realize that Vaul is really a toaster and experience religion fail.

I thought a standard Lad raider could only hold 5 terminators or 10 Space Marines???

The Sons of Ultramar - My chapter, a brother chapter of the Ultramines. They were cloned after the first Tyranic war, and after the program was halted, the small number of Space Marines sat watchfu over their brothers, waiting for the right moment to reveal their true identity.
