Nice idea, not seen it done before with Empire Knights,
what i might suggest, if its not too late, is maybe they might look better with Cadian Torsos than the Knight ones. Dont know if the scale would fit in with the legs though.
Good luck painting them.

A little part of me dies when it thinks of a puritan Inquisitor reading the Rites of Damnation to a heretic then throwing him off a ladder through a table.

Please resize your pictures. They dont need to be anything like this big.
I think you will get better results using pistoliers and cadians.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I like the conversion, but what is your army background. It seems a bit strange to have heavy plate armor on guys with lazer guns, though not much stranger than using horses in futuristic combat.

Would i need to rehost the pictures to do that? Are there plastic pistoliers now? I chose empire knights because I thought they would give me the best value for my dollars, and I thought it would look neat.
@Elnicko5: the rest of the army is a hodgepodge of cadians and catachans, so unfortunetly army unity has gone out the window. I usualy give them carapace armor though, so the heavy plate represents that.
@Lifeofshan: I think so to, but I wanted to keep the cadian torsos for my infantry, the scale would work though.

I agree on using Cadia torsos. I like what you have so far though. Maybe add some kit to the horses.. like bags and canteens etc. to "future' them up some. And get those mold lines

I am not a huge fan of any horses in 40k barring the old Muties. But if you are going with that look I agree they need cadian torsos, also whats up with the hammer of sigmar?

I never understood the horse on field in 40k.
No different than bringing knife to gunfight.
"Roger that, we have horses coming up over the hill"
"Fire up the plasma. We're having BBQ tonight"
Like seriously.
Your project looks good, but I find it strange GW didn't make rough riders with some kind of light vehicle or something.

Also, for the dignity of your minis. Please trim the mould lines. Will look better after paint.

The Emperor doesn't seem to do much for you but you sure are expected to be mutilated, suffer, and die to make him happy. And is he dead or what? If he's entombed that would mean he's dead as a doornail, right? So, how can he be happy about anything you do, or even give orders to anyone? Are you worshipping the dead now? Is that something you'd really want to do? Because it sounds freaking creepy to me. |
