I'm relatively new to Fantasy, and I'm definitely new to the Warriors of Chaos. I just have a few little questions about some of my units;

- How should I outfit my marauder blocks? Flails? Hand weapons/Shields? I'm at a loss as to what would be generally most effective.
- Should I have a full command on my marauder cavalry? Just the champion? A musician too? On that note, how should they be equipped? Any ranged weapons?
- Chaos Knights; ensorcelled weapons or lances?

If you were looking for an idea as to what I usually play against, most of the time I'll be playing against Orks and Empire with a little bit of BoC and Skaven thrown in. The list is a magic-heavy Tzeentch army. Thanks very much!

Don't think chaos knights can take lances at all. Correct me if I'm wrong but I vividly remember that they have no entry for lances in their army list entry.

That makes one of your choices a bit easier at least

The knights can take lances, but as i understand it most people prefer the ensorcerelled weapons. You still get magical str. 5 attacks and if you don't break your opponent in the first round you get to keep striking with str. 5.

I've used marauder cav. with MoK and flails and they rule! In the first round of combat they hit as hard as knights. Without command they come cheap but they kinda need a unit of hounds to screen them.

You have to think what's going to be their role in your army, give em full command and hw/ shield if you are running a large unit to be used as anvil, flails with no command are good for smaller units used as support role

No full command if you want to be competitive. Champion cost too much for the table top value and standard is not good idea in small and fragile unit. The musician on the other hand is good addition to most fast cav units. They should not be equipped with any ranged weapons as they leave lot to be asked for in range and hitting power. The flail is a good call, as are the shield and spear, again depending on the preferred usage.

magic weapons all the way, lances cost too much and don't bring too much additional hitting power compared to the ensorcelled weapons
