Was orginally my chaos squat build thread but new hinderances have pushed that down the list of armys to complete. This thread is for all things related to my beastman army. Well actually they prefer to be called beast "people"

Khorne is the name of the game. The warband is beserker based with the smaller beasts standard marines with bolters. Lead by a monstrous minotaur, this mostly infantry based army is over 70 models strong at the 1850 level. No vehicles what-so-ever. The idea is a mass of infantry and assault troops lead by a demon prince and a lord on "bike" with 4 "bike" body guard. Bikes are centigor-based, marines are ungor-based, the beserkers are gor-based. I have always been impressed with no-tank armies such as my good friends old wulfen army. He ran 4 squads of wulfen and I always had a hard time fighting him no matter what army I played. There is something to be said about a marine army with 70+ models on the board.

I am planning to use the same receipt I use for all of my armies. 1850 points of tournament models, with 650 points of reserve. This gives me a considerable amount of interchangeability as well as the option of playing 2,500 point games.

To build is:

Minotaur Lord
3 x 11 Beserkers with Champion with power fist
2 x 9 "Marines" with bolters, 2 melta guns.
4 x "bikes" with 2 flamers, champ with powerfist
1 x Lord on "bike"
4 x Obliterators (essentially minotaurs with hands removed and guns attached, khorne cares not if blood is spilled at range or in HTH, he cares only that it flows)

Believe it or not i'm coming up on my 10th year playing 40k. Since the beginning I've own an army from each codex, sometimes 2 or 3 times. Including the combination armageddon/eye of terror codexs that appear to be extinct. At my FLGS people used to joke when I came in "what army do you play now?" Out of all those armies i've painted 3. The problem is I get so into one army then something else catches my eye and then I loose focus and start a new army. Well it turns out there's pills for that so with my newfound concentration, and hopefully some support and comments from you guys, i'll be able to see this army through... as I build my khrone and nurgle army as well.

I need a new camera battery tomorrow then i'll start posting pics. I'm going to post everything in this thread so stay tuned! I have a test mini done so far i'm going to paint him up and take pics.
