About 2 years ago I started wargaming and after those 2 years I have hardly painted or made anything so this thread will hopefully keep me motivated and painting more often. I have numerous lotr uruk-hai stuff, Witch hunters, guard, fantasy orks, 40k orks and random others to paint up. I'll start with my inquisitor lord and retinue. (I have never taken pics before sorry if there a bit blurry!)

well are you using the macro setting on the camera? (has a picture of a flower)

first and last are a little shaky but the other 2 are good.
for the painting itself you may want to think about thinning your paints a bit and using some more contrasting colours.

Right yesterday I got some models to paint from my school club Including what I think is a squat, a plastic necromundan goliath, a random imperial model and a howling banshee.

Use a tri-pod to get rid of the shake. You can get a small one for under 10.00

Use more then one light to reduce the shadows.

yeah, use the tri pod AND the timer delay feature. ANY shake no matter how small will affect your pic. Even if you just put your camera on some books use the delay hands free picture feature. Try the pic with and with out flash and chagne you back gound to a grey or a light blue.

Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war!
