I'm not sure many of you guys are aware, but my latest hobby endeavor is to paint a full company (106 marines, 9 tank transports) of Ultramarines. Plus more units from other companies (1st, 8th and 10th, not to mention the armoury).
Well last week I painted a milestone mini. The actual chapter master himself.
And here is a pic of the progress of the project so far

He looks good, but I dunno... All your previous stuff was already amazing looking and for some reason I believe that Marneus Calgar, or any centrepiece figure like that, should have a bit more than the rest of the chaps.
It's not really critique since he already looks frigging amazing! Just nitpicking I guess...

Thunderhawk will be a centrepiece. Any extra detail or effort will be wasted on calgar who is just lost in a sea of blue.
plus if I spend 200+ hours on a single figure I'll never finish the army.

The smurfosity....it's....it's burning my eyes!
Seriously though, the Calgar model is very well painted, perhaps just a bit boring for an HQ though. I just really can't stand that much blue on a tabletop.
