(I used to have a version of this set up on my entertainment center in larger numbers. The BFG side had a couple Imperial ships while the B5 side had an Earth Omega leading the charge with White Stars, civvy transports, and others on the wings. Oh, and a Shadow Cruiser was watching from the sidelines, probably trying to decide who it liked better.

so I tried out the rules with my friends and it just blew up a baneblade in one turn and killed the big smurf

I have a Voltron sitting around here. It could be a small multi-part Titan...

A few years I was looking at using Unicron but as a terrain piece...Cut him in half and make a half-buried statue or mechanical beast from some long forgotten battle.
As for rules or converting him into some sort of Titan...no idea.
