The start of my Feral Ork army, forgive the dreadful story, just wanted to give you a bit of background and show you what I've painted so far

Enjoy

Lt. Alexander Huss - 8th Caledor Defence Force

+Our previous encounter with the Orks of this star system we have named "The Hades Pass" have proven that the Greenskin menace there is almost physically incapable of mechanical warfare, with little to no understanding of technology.
We have come to an understanding that the Orks here are from the "Snakebite" clan, encountering many ferals and Goliath Squigs, however, in our in our last attempt to purge the system we have noticed a vast improvement in the technological sophistication of the Orks, our adepts and scribes noted, but not limited to, 3 Giant "Stompas", a vast spearhead of large vehicles, looted Imperial vehicles and thousands of high powered fire arms.
It is my understanding that the feral Orks of this system have seen the arrival of a larger, more sophisticated clan of Orks that are now leading them, trusting them with their spare weaponry and engines of war....

The following images where captured during the battle of Hades III

A large Ork that avoided capture but damaged the servitor which took the image beyond repair

A selection of shots showing smaller, but still hulking Orks in familiar armour and markings

A large Ork Noble bearing a gruesome token of war

A group of smaller Orks, believed to be feral, being terrible shots with their new weaponry

A captured "Squiggly Beast" specimen that seemed to be following the near 10 foot Ork

Shots of an overflying Ork bomber, attempts to bring it down where unsuccessful (note stolen Space Marine Weaponry, it is my opinion this machine was created in a rush)

The only shot of a giant warmachine dubbed a "Stompa" the name "Da Thug" was noted

A tactical retreat was ordered only 2 hours after the battle had begun, the Orks of the Hades Pass are more dangerous than ever before.
Exterminatus has been refused, apparently the Inquisition see something of value on Hades III, what it is I a have no idea.....

Also, with the fluff. You can say they were part of an early attempt of the emperor to mimic the tau via breeding before genetic engineering came along with the marines. The emperor tried to hide his mistake and abandoned them on a planet of orks. The originals survived along with orks and through breeding with other humans that were also a part of the special project the increased toughness remained. Thier savagery came from the orks as they were originally bred for obedience.
