K so I thought since my GS skills are better after only bothering with Inquisitor models for a while (8 years :S ) I would give marines another go. So here is a wip shot of my standard bearer using the old out of production one from the command squad. It's had the paint removed from it in case it looks a bit ugly.
The little ribbon near the grenade is going to have an icon on the end of it and as far as that I think that's enough for this guy, with the obvious exception of the standard, don't know what's going up there yet, need to design an army badge first.

It's a really nice conversion job. I think you did a really great job on the beard.
It doesn't really look like a Space Marine to me, though... if I saw this mini my first thought would be Inquisitor's Retinue, to be honest. Maybe a Space Wolf, I guess.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Yeh I kind of have a few scottish and celtic influences in my background so space wolves is the right direction, just need something to differentiate them form space wolves.

Eagles? Check.
Bolter? Check.
Skulls and purity seals? Check.
Power Armor? Check.
Roman Numerals? Check.
Looks like a marine to me.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.
I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil |
