Creed no longer allows you to choose table edge, as that option no longer exists in the "pre-game" stuff. He can force a reroll to see who goes first. Has no effect on Steal the Initiative.

Assuming you're doing a "choice of mission based on strategy rating", I don't see why not.

personally I think that guy is overpriced and he sux.

If you are playing a standard 5th edition game, then the only thing he will do for you is allow reroll of who gets first turn (and therefore DZ).

He is priced for 3ed rules when Strategy Rating existed, but in 5th edition he is simply over priced and out of date. Hopefully the new codex will give him a health revision.


PS. obviously if you talk to your opponent or are running a campaign, alternative rules could be worked out.

I picked him up and most other players are ok with him being run virtually as printed. they have helped turn assaults in my favor (Today I had a line squad hold against deffkoptas, C&K joined, and I got the sweep) and no more annihalation is pretty much win.
