The color fades are looking really good, as is the green spot color. I think the weathering on the Rhino is the real stand out though.

For a constructive suggestion I'd go with "I think you need to add a bit of black into the scheme. On the robed Marines I'd use it on their rope belts, and on the other guys I'd use it on the flexible parts at the armor joints." This is because you're using a lot of mid-tones (red, brown, dirty metal) which causes some of your shots to look a bit flat. The black (dark tone) would help break these up.

I can't wait to see more!

Cheers
Dave

fantastic colour scheme and well pulled off. I like the fact they seem more calm than normal chaos, more dark and scheming.

i spent ages on my avitar. YOU MUST LIKE IT OR HE WILL EAT YOU!

Very awesome.

Nice to see someone still dedicated to The Word Bearers, as of the 4th Edition Codex.

I actually like how your lack of blending makes them look a bit...cel shaded, if you will.

The only problem I saw with them is from afar, I couldn't even tell that they were red. Maybe that's just me.

Nice looking stuff. The green accents, and the muted robes, work well together. Very atmospheric. I can practically hear the chanting.

Fantastic job on these. I've been going through the all of the Chaos Codices, in the last week and it is neat seeing the evolution of the legions. 2nd ed was really just red CSM for the Word Bearers.

I think you completely nailed the look for this legion. More so than GW has.

Excellent work!

I can't say much that hasnt already been said, so great work, and you have, in fact beaten GW at their own models.

Oh, that and you seem to have 6 Heavy supports.

Very cool stuff.

Love the paint jobs.

The fluro green accents work very well with the red, and the weathering is excellent.

My only problem is, whilst I love your paintjob, I hate the chaos dread figure.

Small detail thing...

I'd get rid of the Mechanicum Symbol on the back of the Land Raider, or cover it with something Non-Imperial.

Very cool and characterful army. The weathering really adds to the feeling of them getting up close and personal. I really like how the tanks complement the look of the army. Great job.

yeah,
great work, its cool to see how fast your working!

I also really like the progress index in your first post.. a very cool idea which probabily keeps you motivated!
Maybe you should add a completion date next to each unit as it gets completed? will be cool to look back on.
I may steal this idea for my own future projects!

As others have said, the weathering on the Land Raider is absolutely fantastic. I also love the use of fluorescent green accents, particularly on what look like chemical intakes on the back of the dread, the glow just seem so perfectly Chaotic.

Hi all !

Damned ! That of compliments ! Thanks a lot

I see that you love my fluorescent green. So, here is how I make it :

* Paint a basecoat with Orkhide Shade Foundation

* Next, in Snot Green and Snot Green + Sunburst Yellow

* And finally, Skull White

I hope that this is going to help you.

Now, I present you my 1st CSM squad, finished today :

That's all for today,
Cheers.
