k guys im not sure exactly where to post this and im actually going to ask
some questions that might not be modelling related ( but for the sake of making 3 threads in 3 forums ^^;

Q- Does the walker get 1 weapon sprue per walker. Or 2? ( so duplicate weapon x2 )

Q- Are the weapons interchangeable between the walker , heavy platforms? ) how about with the
older models like vyper / falcons?

Q- Now with annoying cover saves everywhere, is scatter laser replacing star cannons?

Q- How are shuriken cannon doing?

kk thanks :"P

I won't reply to each of the points as I bought a couple of armies off of ebay and most models were pre made.

The war walker weapons and support weapons are a little different. The support weapons have a little groove that the weapon attaches to on the base. WW have a hole that slips on to a weapon mount.

Sounds like people really like the SL because of the high rate of fire. I'm inclined to agree unless I know my opponent is bringing MEQ. Starcannons to keep them in cover....

Scatter Lasers were a popular choice even before the increase in cover saves.

And if you can combine a squadron of 3 with a Farseer with guide... Well, it is quite painful...

Yeah I have three WW and four of the plastic weapon platforms.

I'm pretty sure the WW come with only 1 weapon sprue (one of each weapon) however it has been a while since I built one so I may be mistaken.

The weapons for the WW and the guardian platform are completely interchangeable they have exactly the same tab and slot connections so if you have a lot of WW and platforms you'll have loads of guns to swap around.

The method you use to make the guns interchangeable is up to you however I've gone down the magnet route (2x 3x0.5mm on each mount and on each weapon).

The weapons on the wave serpent sprue aren't really interchangeable however if your prepared to put the work in you should be able to use these as well - plus these have the added bonus of being available on the GW site.

The same with the falcon weapons. Don't own a viper so can't comment on those kits.

Hope this helps

Bartius is correct, you get one of each weapon that can be mounted on the war walker.

The weapon mounts are exactly the same as the gaudian weapon platform mounts. In order to get my 3 war walkers with 2x scatter lasers I just bought 3 boxes of gaurdians.

Magnetizing is most definatly the way to go with these kits.
