The new referees are really funny. Specially the incompetent three halflings. If you foul an opponent, they may actually send off the fouled player instead!

I've liked the star players, it's just the Forge World Skaven and Gobbos I've not cared for.

So that's four exclusive teams on there now, along with the Bretonnians and the Savage Orcs?

No, you misunderstand. Please do! Just like we already have done in the past. This needs to be discussed!

If it's content that you have to pay for, it's not right that it's shared and could land Dakka in trouble surely.

I would have to wait for reddit, youtubers and podcasts to do it then.

Everything else have already been shared here (all WD rules, DZ1, DZ2, special play card decks, pitches, previous app teams...).

Anyway, Beast Slayers, Troll Slayers and Dragon Slayers have GS, Skaven Slayers have GP.

Still looking for doubles on the Dwarf team.

For Skaven, Novitiates got GM, Pox flingers got GP, Poison Keepers got GA, Cardinals got GS and Rat Ogre got S. Everyone have M, except Novitiates.

Still looking for doubles on Novitiates.

Scroll down to the "What’s next for Blood Bowl?" on that page for some great new preview images.

A few thoughts:
1) Skaven team booster is great. Fill out the Gutter Runners from the core box, and replace the second thrower and blitzer with new unique sculpts. Hard to argue with that!

2) Underworld Denizens and Chaos Renegades - Tokens imply these will be getting their own boxes, instead of just a repack like Underworld has now. Hoping for new sculpts for all the players so the teams feel truly unique, but on the other hand, maybe the it's better if the sculptors are working on teams that don't exist yet?

3) Goblin Pitch - Looks great, wonder what's on the other side. Maybe elves?

4) Human team booster is an odd choice... it looks like it has only one catcher, and includes an extra thrower? I'm all for variety, but needing to buy two of these to make it up to 4 catchers seems bad.

5) Minotaur - Looks great! Probably there mostly for Chaos Renegades, but might he mean that Chaos Chosen teams are around the corner? Of the 11 teams that aren't in a Death Zone book, 2 of them are Chaos (and both use a Minotaur), so that could be a hint at what will be in the next book, maybe with Ogres or something (since you can sorta make an Ogre team now). An Undead book makes sense after that (since there are four undead teams) , followed by a book with a sort of "teams from distant lands" theme for Lizardmen, Amazons, and Norse? Maybe throw Halflings in that last one too, since they're not exactly a priority...

6) Team Card Packs - Not sure how I feel about these. It is neat having a card for each of your players, but how well will pencil erase from them? Or are you expected to use a wet erase marker or something similar? But that seems like it would rub off a little too easily...

7) Elf player - Finally! If they're working on all the elf teams simultaneously (seems likely, they should have a lot in common) that only leaves Nurgle as the only Season One team to be released.

There's some other stuff there too, but most of it we already knew about .

Re: goblin pitch, I was lucky enough to attend the seminar today, but was right at the back (which was difficult to hear at times), but I thought the chaps said the reverse was a waterlogged goblin pitch, with something about squiqs depicted on the board and potentially featuring in the unique rules.

Also, someone in the audience asked about the disparate rules appearances, and the team commented that they hoped to compile everything into one complete book - but that would be many years from now.

Love that Glart Smashrip has his own warpstone ball, with a chunk bitten out of it!

Totally not sold on the chainsaw gobbo though. Doesn't look right at all…

Nope, not a fan of any of the special weapons. Soon as I saw them I began converting my own.

Wrote a long post, but...

TL;DR Granny has a crappy track record with Blood Bowl. I've played the game(the best game GW ever made, imo) since the paper stand up days. Still run 2 leagues a year with our club, the thursday night hero's, just a bunch of old friends having fun. But GW will let the game stagnate again.

It does'nt make them enough money. Not everyone will buy everything gw makes for the game(I own over 1,500 BB/FF figures) so it will fail when put up against New, Big, fancy, BIG(Derp) space marines, and thats a shame.

Anyway, I do hope this time the game hangs around. It is really a great game. But not everyone will do much more then the basics*, so who knows?

* I'm into the game so deep I made a team of my own. Designed, sculpted, cast. The Wild Things. Its a "counts as" ogre team with the monsters from the childrens book "where the wild things are" by M Sendak.

The team is in honour of my cousin Mike, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2008. Proceeds go to the wounded warrior fund. PM me if you'd like to see pictures.

Agree with most of what you said here. I don't even hesitate to say that Blood Bowl is the best game they've ever made.

I'm very optimistic at this point. All indications I've heard is that the game is selling way better than they expected it to, meaning they've been shifting gears and now plan to support it a lot more heavily than they'd initially planned.

I've been super impressed with their recent treatment of the game. They tried to change the rules as little as possible, and all the major changes they did make (like re-drafting) are actually positive changes, IMO. They've had a few missteps (like underproducing the extra pitches and dice) but they're actually going back and making more of them, which is awesome.

This is the only GW game for which I've let my collector mentality run wild; I've purchased every team, every plastic big guy, every card pack, every dice set and pitch I could get at a reasonable price... basically everything. I also have money set aside equal to what it would currently cost to buy every star player and big guy on Forge World, and I'm keeping that fund current, so when the number hits £250, I can buy it all at once with free shipping. I know I'm not the norm by any stretch, most people will just buy a single team and play with that, but apparently there's more of us than GW expected, which will be good for a while.

Anyway, I'm fairly confident at this point that we'll have at least another year or two of steady releases like this, which should be enough to get all the teams out and hopefully get that big compiled rulebook someone mentioned. At that point, if they lose interest and stop supporting it, it won't really break my heart; I'll still have many many games ahead of me, and awesome miniatures to play them with.

Just looking over my purchase today, and notice something unusual, and probably not-actually-interesting.

The Gobbos wielding the special weapons don't have a tab, but come on a slottabase. But the kit comes with bits of Resin to fill the slot on their slottabase.

How thoughtful/ultimately kind of pointless is that!

The Minotaur looks like it could be plastic to me, but I dont really kbow what tinexpect from blood bowl stuff. Would any og you wonderful people have any idea is it'll be plastic or resin?

The miniature pictured in the community site article is clearly resin cast, so I'd say that was more likely. Especially given the relative utility of the model as a gaming pice compared to the Ogre and Troll.

Skaven Booster - £20.
Star Players - £18 (same as webstore)
SP Duo - £20 (same as Grak and Crumbleberry)
Orcland Raiders - £32 (same as Bright Crusder upgrade sprue)
Neoprene pitches - £40 apiece

Absolutely nothing that deviated from standard pricing.

I like the Neoprene Pitch's designs but it looks as though the grid markings are going to be quite hard to see? They probably should have gone with white instead of black.

Thanks! Are the SP duo exclusives? Or will everything be available later in the FG store?

They're not a limited release - at one of the seminars they said they hoped to release through FW in a couple of weeks time - very quick turn around time (so avoid potential scalper prices on eBay!)

Just assembled my goblin special weapons set, and I have to say - the ball and chain is simply phenomenal! Remind me of he Bow Wow Chain Chomp from Links Awakening. ^_^

Clockpunk, how fragile does the smoke on the Bombadier and the ball & chain on the Fanatic appear to be? They both looked to efatuer quite thing bits of resin on the preview pics.

Also, have you been able to figure out WTF is going on with the Chainsaw Goblin's face?

Chainsawer face is just a simple hockey-esque mask - looks a lot better in person than the pics. Ball and chain is sturdy enough - attaches to the fanatic via his wrists and a base chain section, IIRC. The bombers smoke itself is pretty solid, but where it pins into the bomb body... I did find that a little tricky to glue and hold in place - got tbere eventually, but it did require a bit of attention to stop it wobbling.

They're fantastic sculpts full of character - really made me smile once I had finished putting them together!
